The Jacksonville Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will be hosting a Greenwing Event for kids on April 23, 2016. The event will seek to promote knowledge of waterfowl ecology and outdoor safety and feature a wood duck box building event. Guest speakers from the St. Johns River Water Management District and Florida Wildlife Commission will present on topics such as wetland and waterfowl ecology as well as outdoor safety. The wood duck boxes built during this event will be placed in local conservation areas and maintained by professional ecologists. Additional events will include waterfowl themed arts and crafts, fishing themed games, a casting contest, and prizes for all Greenwing child attendees.
Location – Sadler Point Marina (4669 Roosevelt Blvd, Jacksonville, FL)
Time – 12:00-2:00pm
Cost/Ticket – $20 per child, $5 per adult

Ticket price includes lunch($5), and DU Greenwing Membership ($15)

A Greenwing membership is for children age 17 or younger and includes:

• A DU membership card
• Greenwing decals (age 11 and younger)
• Two unique DU decals (one duck head and one DU shield for ages 12-17 years)
• Four issues of the Puddler magazine (both print & online versions, ages 11 and younger)
• Six issues of Ducks Unlimited magazine (ages 12-17 years)

The goal of this event is engage the children in local environmental and ecological issues while having fun promoting an outdoor lifestyle. We ask that all attendees pre-register online.
